D .F. Sturdivant opened the funeral home in 1940. Dan Walters joined the funeral home in 1949 and became manager of the funeral home. Dan purchased an interest in the funeral home in 1951, and purchased the funeral home entirely in 1978. Since that time the funeral home has been in the capable hands of himself and his wife, Geneva.
