Shirley was born at Ceres, VA, to the late Louis Cregar and Etta Hall Cregar.

Surviving, two sisters, Glenna Kirk of Independence, VA, and Virginia Ruth Harris of Florence, Arizona; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside service will be held on Monday, May 28, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. in the Sharon Lutheran Church Cemetery in Ceres, VA; Rev. Sammy Shupe officiating. There will not be a visitation.
