Edna passed away at the Alleghany Care and Rehabilitation Center in Sparta, NC, her home for the last 23 years, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elder Talmadge and Dixie Maines, and a brother, Lewis Maines.

Surviving, two brothers and spouse, Harrison and Judy Maines and Jackie Maines of Sparta, NC; three sisters and spouses, Margaret and Lloyd Hughes of Bassett, VA, Bobbie and Gary Parlier of Sparta, NC and Linda and Wayne Todd of Mt. Airy, NC; nine nephews, four nieces, and many loving and caring staff of Alleghany Care and Rehabilitation Center, Sparta, NC

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 P.M. Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel.,Independence, VA. with interment in Shiloh Cemetery, Sparta, NC; Brother Wayne Todd will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 22, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m., and at other times at the residence of Bobbie and Gary Parlier, 238 Mitchell Mountain Road, Sparta, NC
