Rose was born at Independence, VA, to the late Harvey Anderson and Amanda Testerman Anderson.

She was the widow of Gilbert Anderson.

Surviving, two sons and spouses, Junior and Drlene Anderson and Dale and Elizabeth Anderson of Fries, VA; three grandchildren and spouses, Sharlene Sapp of Fries, Rebecca and Quincy Jones of Walkertown, NC and Timberly and Dewayne Shupe of Fries; three great-grandchildren, Amber Gray, Eric Sapp and Slater Jones; two great-great grandchildren, Jace Gray and Kelley Gravley; one sister, Anna Mae White of Manassas, VA; two brothers-in-law and spouse, Rex and Sharon Anderson of Galax, VA and Herbert Sturdivant of Independence, VA; three sisters-in-law, Mary Anderson Dunford of Independence, Linda Haulsee of Marion, VA and Pauline Anderson of Flatridge, VA; several nieces, nephews, a special caregiver and friend, Lois Linkous and special friends at Riverview Apts.

Funeral service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Fries Baptist Church with interment in Felts Cemetery, Galax, VA; Rev. John Williams and Rev. Bill Linkous officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Fries Baptist Church, Fries, VA on Monday, July 23, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m.
