Tammy was born at Sparta, NC, to Robert Ford Smith and Anna Jean Moxley.

Surviving, mother and step-father, Anna Jean and Earl Eugene Murray of Sparta, NC; her father, Robert Ford Smith of Independence, VA; one sister, Cherie Lynn Smith of Galax, VA; three brothers, Adam Wayne Murray of Wilmington, NC, Les Ray Murray of Elkin, NC and James Eugene Murray of Sparta, NC; One specaial niece, Atlanta Nicole Murray; five nephews,several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Funeral service at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel, Independence, VA, with interment in Potato Creek Cemetery, Mouth of Wilson, VA; Frankie Barnes and Rev. Eric Miller to officate. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time for the funeral service.
