Don was born in Alleghany County, nC, the Whitehead Community, to the late John Sherman Pruitt and Hazel Bertha Pruitt.

Surviving, son and wife, Donny and Kristen Pruitt of Lansing, NC; daughter and husband, Tonya and Jimmy Reeves of Sparta, NC; two sisters and husbands, Shelta and Bill Marsh of West Jefferson, NC and, Judy and Harold Church of Sparta, NC; one brother and wife, Herman and Beulah Pruitt of Clewiston, Florida

Graveside service will be held at 3:00PM, Sunday, August 11, 2012 at the Landmark Cemetery, Sparta, NC. Elder Dan Edwards officiating.

There will not be a visitation at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, P. O. Box 306, Independence, VA 24348, to assist the family with funeral expenses.
