Edna was born at Abingdon, VA, to the late Lyburn Roark and Clara Price Roark.

Surviving, two daughters and spouse, Elizabeth Wingate and Martha and David Tayson all of Sparta, NC; four grandchildren, Roger Halsey, Dusty Halsey of Sparta, NC, Anthony Evans of Sparta, NC and Bobbi Tate of Lowgap, NC; two great grandchildren, Logan Cheek of Lowgap, NC and Magnum Evans of Sparta, NC

She was preceded in deah by her husband, Curtis Wingate and grandson, Mark Evans.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the Brush Creek Baptist Church, Independence, VA. Interment in Brush Creek Cemetery. The Rev. Eddie Roland will officiate.
