Obituary

Ada Lee Farmer Bowers, age 91, passed away May 5, 2021 at Grayson Nursing Home & Rehab in Independence, VA.

She was born to John Bruce "Johnny" Farmer and Lura Mae Phipps Farmer in Independence, VA.  After graduating from high school, she worked at Grayson National Bank for 47 years.  She also, along with her husband Junior, owned and operated Clark Hill Service Station.  She had an outgoing personality and never met a stranger.  And was always a loving mother.

Preceding her in death other than her parents, was her husband James Alex "Junior" Bowers, and a brother Claude Farmer.

Survivors include her Daughter & Son-in-law Teresa & Tommy Sells of Mouth of Wilson, VA. One Niece, several cousins, and many special friends also survive.

Graveside service will be conducted Saturday, May 8,  at Salem Cemetery in Independence at 11:00am.  Rev Doug Stuart and Rev Jack Rutherford officiating.

Family requests no food or flowers. Donations in her memory can be given to Elk Creek Rescue Squad, Elk Creek Vol. Fire Dept or Salem Cemetery c/o Jack Pinion.
