Ann Fannie Rector Osborne, departed this world on December 26, 2023, at the age of 93 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. She was born on May 26, 1930, to her parents Homer Clifton and Bessie Mae Whitaker Rector in Sparta, NC. Ann's life was a testament to love, grace, and kindness.
Ann, a retired clothing retail salesperson from Sears, brought elegance and warmth to all who had the pleasure of crossing her path. She devoted her life to her family. She was a loving wife, a dedicated sister, and a caring friend. Her infectious smile could brighten the darkest days, she was very loving, and kind. Everyone that knew her loved her.
Among her many passions, Ann found joy in flower gardening, and enjoyed the excitement of game shows on TV.
Ann is survived by her two brothers, Raymond and Elaine Rector, and Clifton Arnold and Shirley Rector, all of Sparta, NC; three sisters, Ruth Brown of Sparta, NC, Ima Jean Mitchell of Cherryville, NC, and Mary Cecil Kennedy of Sparta, NC; brother-in-law, Tommy Hamm of Roanoke, VA. and Bob Dumm; sister-in-law, Marlin Osborne; special friends, Charles Ward, Chris and Dreama Morton, and Pat Davis; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Ann is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Camet Osborne, sister Arlene Hamm, and brother, Curtis Frank Rector, two nephews, Junior Brown and Gary Mitchell; two sisters-in-law, Ovita Dumm and Wanda Osborne; brother-in-law, H.B. Osborne. Together, they now rest in eternal peace, reunited in the arms of the Lord.
Funeral services to celebrate Ann's life will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Reins~Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Homer Murdock and Jimmy Osborne officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Independence, VA. In lieu of food, the family respectfully requests flowers or memorials to be made to the donor's choice.
As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, let us remember Ann for the love she shared, the joy she brought, and the lasting impact she had on the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the beauty of the flowers she so adored.
