Barbara Ann Russell Bishop, 72 of Willis, formerly of Baywood, VA, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Russell of Baywood; brother, Jerry Russell of Woodlawn; niece, Teri Lyn Russell of Baywood; sister-in-law, Linda Russell of Baywood; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was a member of Harris Chapel Church where she enjoyed singing. She loved going to the beach, working at the food bank, flowers, and gardening.

She is survived by her husband, Allen Bishop of Willis; mother, Edith Russell of Baywood; brother, Jesse Russell of Baywood; son, Ted (Crystal) Cole of Independence; granddaughters, Samantha Cole of Independence; and Brooke (Tyler) Hallyburton of Woodlawn; special aunt, Olive Furman of Houston, TX; special friends, Hope Banard and Norma Pratt; one brother-in-law and several sisters-in-law, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on April 21, 2024, at Harris Chapel Church with Pastor Marcus Wood officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place • Memphis, TN 38105.
