The world was blessed with Barbara Ann on March 28, 1939, in Statesville, NC to Jones F. and Patsy Kirk Wingate.

Left to mourn her passing and cherish her memory is her husband of 49 years, Glen David Taylor; her daughter and son-in-law Nila Ann and Dwight G. Phillips of Indian Valley, VA; her son Timothy Brandon Taylor of the home; one special grandson William Wyatt Moore of Indian Valley, VA.; two special sisters-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Taylor of Independence, VA and Irene Taylor of Yadkinville, NC.; several nieces, nephews and special cousins also survive; special neighbors and family – William, Gary and Shirley Phipps. The family would also like to thank Debbie Hensley for all her help during Barbara's illness! Also, a special thanks to Aunt Mary – she was such a blessing to us during this difficult time.

Barbara Ann was a hard worker, wonderful cook, devoted wife, loving mother, talented gardener, and all-around farm girl never failing to milk her cows by hand and making the best butter ever! She was employed by Grayson County School System for 20 years as a food service worker, becoming manager of the Elementary School Cafeteria before her retirement. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at a young age and totally devoted to Jesus Christ. She will be missed by everyone who knew her, but those who pass away from this life and are remembered never die. We know by believing in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, we will see her again in heaven.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday May 21, 2025, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Darrin Brannock, John Mark McKnight, and David VanHoy officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
