Basil Edgar Lovelace, II age 64 of Pamplin, VA passed away on Monday June 15, 2026, at the Appomattox Health and Rehab Center in Appomattox, VA.  He was born to Feilden Franklin and Mary Emma Peartree Lovelace on September 25, 1961.

Basil was a quiet and reserved individual who enjoyed his time alone.  He enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid reader which occupied much of his time.  He worked at several jobs as long as his health permitted.  He was most accomplished with computers and was often called upon to assist with computer problems.

He was preceded in death by his father on Jan. 16, 2011.  He is survived by his mother, Mary Lovelace of Pamplin, VA; four sisters, Marilyn O'Sullivan of Pamplin, VA, Virgie Pembelton of Amelia, VA, Sherry Taylor of Farmville, VA, and Roberta Lynn Keen of Meherrin, VA.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Haw Orchard Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Lovelace officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow in the Haw Orchard Cemetery.
