Bennie William Osborne, age 77, of Elk Creek, VA., passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. Mr. Osborne was born on June 10, 1946 in Elk Creek, VA to the late William Connie and Rose Anna Brown Osborne.

Bennie was a simple country man that loved his family endlessly. He spent his days outside in his building, working in the garden, hunting, and fishing. He cherished his wife and loved their marriage. He loved his "honey-do" more than anything. Spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandson brought him much joy and laughter. Bennie was a man who held a deep affection for his family and his favorite dog, Bud.

Mr. Osborne is survived by his wife, Effie Elizabeth Osborne, of the home; one son, Bennie (Brandy) Osborne of Elk Creek, VA; one daughter, Angela Osborne of Charlotte, NC; step son, Stacy (Ramona) Nelson of Galax, VA; brothers, Eddie (Evelyn) Osborne of Independence, VA, J.C. (Janice) Osborne of Elk Creek, VA, Phillip (Dana) Osborne of Elk Creek, VA, Robert (Carolyn) Osborne of Sparta, NC; two sisters, Lockie (Jerry) Young of Fries, VA, and Anna Lee (Jerry) Wynn of Elk Creek, VA; grandchildren, Cortney and Aaron Cornett, Taeley Nelson, Maddy and Dakotya Douglas; and great grandson, Bronson Cornett.

Memorial services will be held Friday, January 26, 2024, at Reins~Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel at 2: 00 PM with Rev. Ronald Gravley and Rev. N.R. Taylor officiating.
