Beth Martin was born in Fries Virginia on 10th January 1971 to parents Don & Janet, a couple of
years later she was joined by her younger sister Leigh Anne. Always fun but yet dramatic, her
highs and lows were expressed freely. Wonderful times were spent in Elk Creek with her
grandparents Esther & Ralph Delp. At high school she enjoyed cheerleading and showed a talent
for painting as an artist. From there she progressed to Radford University where she was awarded
a Batchelor of Arts degree.

Beth continued to excel as an artist/creative designer & had an unquenchable spirit for life and
thirst for travel which saw her move initially to New York where she worked in an advertising
agency before living in London, Paris & Germany adding linguistic skills in French, German &
Spanish to her array of talents.
It was during this time that Beth developed her skills as an artist in the South of France and
bought a quaint house in Pougnadoresse from a fellow painter and would spend time hosting
friends at her home.

In her mid thirties she settled in Central London where she felt most at home and gained UK
citizenship as well as a Master of Arts in interior design which was a stepping stone for a new
career in art direction for film, her true passion.
It was whilst living in London that she met husband to be Mick Kent. After a long romantic
courtship they were married in 2018 and settled in Central London where they continued to travel
and explore new places.

Beth loved nothing better than sipping a morning Cappuccino whilst drawing interesting
characters in her sketchbook at cafes in Uzes in the South of France where they spent many
happy summers together.

In 2023, Beth was diagnosed with terminal cancer and on 18th September 2024 lost her battle
with the disease and passed away at her home in Asheville, NC.

She will always be remembered for her love of life and her signature red lipstick, laughter and
beautiful curly hair.

Beth is survived by her husband Mick, their children Will, Beck & Charlie. Helen and grandchildren
Arthur & Wilfred. Leigh Anne, Tom and their children Eli & Jack. Lastly & not least Hugo her
beloved French Bulldog service animal who accompanied her everywhere.
