Blondie Genese Bonds, age 63, of Sparta, North Carolina, formerly of Independence, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the Alleghany Memorial Hospital in Sparta, North Carolina. She was born February 4, 1956 in Independence, Virginia to Larkin and Bertha Boyden Cox.

She is survived by her husband, Eric Bonds of the home; three sisters Linda Parsons of Dayton, Ohio, Elaine and James Lee of Sugar Grove, Virginia, and Paris Phipps of Independence, Virginia; three brothers, Rainey Cox of Marion, Virginia, Danny Cox and Jeffery Cox both of Independence, Virginia.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel by Bishop Charles Milliner officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.  Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
