Bobby G. Anderson, Sr., age 71, of Independence, Virginia, died on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at his home.  He was born on April 11, 1949 in Grayson County to Curtis and Edith Ring Anderson.

He is survived by his wife, Vera E. Anderson of the home; two daughters, Emmie (Brandon) Carter of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Linda Caudill and special friend, Mike Kirby of Fries,Virginia; son, Bobby Anderson, Jr. and wife, Betina, of Fries, Virginia; six grandchildren, four sisters, Becky Jones, Anita Williams, Patty Anderson, all of Fries, Virginia, and Brenda Larrowe of Woodlawn, Virginia; one brother, Larry Anderson of Johnson City, TN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Arlene Blevins.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday morning at 11:00 AM at the Turkey Knob Cemetery in Fries, Virginia by Rev. Matt Linkous, Rev. Alan Graham, and Brandon Carter. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM.
