Bobby G. Reedy, age 85, of Troutdale, VA passed away January 14, 2022 at Hospice House of Bristol, TN after a very brief illness. He was born to late Leonard and Effie Henderson Reedy in Grassy Creek, VA on January 31, 1936.

A U.S. Army Veteran, Bobby was stationed in Germany during his service.  An avid outdoorsman, Bobby was well known for his love of hunting and fishing and would share his passion for both with anyone brave enough to try to keep up with him.  He loved to laugh and was always ready to share a joke or a funny story with everyone.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Osborne Reedy, his brothers, Gilmer, Willard, David, Jack & Don Reedy and his sisters, Helen Grinstead, Edith Phipps and Virginia Tuell.

Bobby is survived by his son Jim (Patty) Reedy of Troutdale, VA, daughter Rhonda Reedy, Black Mountain, NC, Granddaughter Kate (Devin) Keith of Abingdon, VA and two step-grandsons, Andrew (Ashley) DeBord and Greg DeBord. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private due to COVID-19 restrictions.  However, the family invites the public to join them on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM via zoom at :

The Rev.Bob Cheeks will officiate. A private burial will take place at the Corinth Cemetery in Rugby, Virginia.  In lieu of food and flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Rugby Volunteer Rescue Squad, Little Wilson United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
