Just as the evening shadows of December 27, 2021 began to fall, Brother Garry Wayne Adams, age 67 of Galax, VA was summoned to his eternal heavenly home from Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital, in Elkin, NC. This great soldier of the cross surrendered to his Divine calling in February of 1982. Following his ordination in 1983, he became pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Galax, Virginia where he served until his homegoing. Brother Adams' ministry was equally effective whether it was behind the pulpit or behind the wheel of his school bus which he drove for 33 years. His influence and dedication to the children on his bus is immeasurable. Brother Adams was always an ambassador for the kingdom of Heaven and was quick to share the blessings that God had given to him. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors. As a sportsman, fisherman, and hunter, he was constantly in awe of God's creation. Garry was so proud of his family. His children were always a source of comfort and strength to him and his three grandchildren, Cooper Wesley Adams, Jensen Reese Adams, and Perry Elizabeth Adams were the pride of his life!
