Carolyn Ward Testerman, age 62 of Independence, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Chippenham Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. She was born in Sparta, North Carolina on February 5, 1961 to Ruby Irene Ward and the late Joe T Ward.

Carolyn loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had a lifelong passion for riding motorcycles, and she also enjoyed researching her family ancestry.

She is survived by the love of her life, Donnie Testerman of the home; daughter Crystal Cherry (Micah) of Georgia; son Jason Testerman (Nicky) of Independence; grandkids Caitlin and Caden Cherry of Georgia. She is also survived by her mom Irene Ward; sister Debbie Phipps (Jim), and her brother Tommy Ward (Mary Sue) all of Independence, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

At Carolyn's request, there will be a private memorial for the immediate family that will be held at a later date.
