Charles Lee Bowers, age 78, of Galax, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, Jul 17, 2024, at the Waddell Nursing Home in Galax, VA.  Charles was born on Feb. 8, 1946 in Virginia to the late Gleamor Sidney and Julia Edith Hess Bowers.

He is survived by three brothers, Emmett and Sandra Bowers of Galax, VA, James Utt of Mt. Airy, NC, and RIchard and Lynn Utt of Galax, VA; one niece, Tammy Utt Garcia of Galax, VA.

Graveside services and inurnment will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Coal Creek Cemetery in Piper's Gap, VA with the Rev. Lee Houston officiating.

Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home in Independence, VA is serving the Bowers family.
