Charles Edward Campbell, age 79, of Grassy Creek, the Helton Community passed away at his home on Friday, October 3, 2025.

Charles was born on September 6, 1946, to Clip and Nell T. Campbell.  He was a graduate of Virginia Carolina High School where he was a celebrated basketball player.  He gave over 40 years of service to Sprague Electric/ United Chemi-Con in Lansing, NC.  He was a devoted UNC Tar Hill fan.  He loved to garden and excelled at maintaining his vegetable and flower gardens alike!  He was a devoted friend who enjoyed the company of his friends as well as his family.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Campbell of the home; one daughter, Amy and Tony Saunders of Hudson, NC; three sons, Greg and Tammy Campbell of Lansing, NC; Chris Campbell and Chad Campbell of Grassy Creek; one brother Donny and Linda Campbell of Grassy Creek; four grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday morning, October 11, 2025, at the Helton Baptist Church at 11:00 with Rev. Brandy Phipps officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.    Inurnment will follow at a later date at the Baptist Chapel Cemetery.
