Obituary

Charles Ray Gore, age 92 of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 at his home. Mr. Gore was born March 9, 1925 in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia to Wayne Gore and Maggie Poe Gore. He attended Virginia Carolina High School and served in the US Army during WWII. He retired from Oak Hill Academy as Maintence Supervisor.
Mr. Gore is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Judy and George Swaha of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia; a son-in-law, William Magness of Conowingo, Maryland ; four grandchildren: Charles and Sharon Swaha of Elliston, Virginia, Joseph and Elena Swaha of Sloansville, NY, Patrick and Tracy Magness of Baltimore, Maryland, and Isabell Magness of Sana Barbara, California; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Fangneyer of Washington DC and Edith Cullum of Florida.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jolene Cox Gore and his daughter, Charlene Gore Magness.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, December 10, 2017 at
1:30 P.M. at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Doug Halsey and Rev. Dwight Sells officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Branch Cemetery with military honors conducted by Grayson VFW Post 7726
