Cynthia Ann Spangler Pack, age 71, of Galax, VA, the Baywood Community, passed away on March 8, 2024, at the Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax, Virginia.  She was born on October 3, 1952, in Pearisburg, Virginia to Eugene and Betty Jean Hale Spangler.  Cynthia was a lab technician serving in various hospitals and private care facilities.  While she was very successful in her professional career, she will be best remembered as a wife and mother extraordinaire.  The love and dedication to her husband and her children were unsurpassed.   She was involved in all aspects of her childrens' school activities.  She was a loyal and avid fan of Grayson Blue Devils Baseball where she was always in the stands supporting her son, Chip.  She was equally supportive of her daughter Stephanie, who followed in her mother's footsteps as a majorette in her high school band. Stephanie later became a feature twirler competing in competitions all over the world including Canada, Europe as well as the United States. Cynthia specialized in Christmas and often created a first-class holiday for the entire extended family.  Her love and enjoyment of her family was later extended to her pride and joy, her grandson, Austin in whom she had a special bond. She continued her tradition of supporting his love of baseball as a member of the Grayson County Blue Devils Baseball team.   Austin and his grandfather had an equal love for Cynthia's "No Knead Rolls," a tradition that the two men plan to "attempt" at recreating! The Pack family enjoyed company and guest received first-class service with Cynthia as hostess.

In addition to her parents, Cynthia was preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Rene Pack Bryant and her son Woodrow Edward Pack III "Chip."  She is survived by her husband, Woodrow Edward "Woody" Pack of the home; grandson, Austin Hunter Bryant of Galax, Virginia; sister, Sandra Evans (Danny) of Narrows, VA; son in law and Austin's Stepmother, Mark and Shawn Reddick Bryant of Galax.

Private Graveside services will be conducted at the Fairview Memorial Gardens with Rev. Sam Holder officiating along with Cynthia's best friends, Carol Goodloe and Janet Roberts.  The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Grayson County Blue Devils Baseball Team via go fund me link: https://gofund.me/60f2ccde
