Mr. Ayers was born at Galax, VA, to Alex Ayers and Lelia Bowers Ayers
and passed away April 6, 2018

Surviving, wife, Nola Ayers of the home; son and spouse, Jamie and Christi Ayers of Galax, VA; stepson and spouse, Robert and Karen Sapp of Lafayette, TN; step-daughter and spouse, Michelle and Roger Lewis, of Independence, VA, two sisters, Wilma Rakes of Woodlawn, VA and Faye Teague of Bel Air, MD; one brother and spouse, Larry and Sandy Ayers of Galax, VA; brother in law, Jackie Blevins of Elk Creek, VA; sister-in-law and spouse, Opal and Tommy Godsey of Independence, VA; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren

Funeral service will be conducted Monday, April 9, 2018 at 4:00 P.M.
in Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Garry Adams and Rev. Darrell Melton officiating. Interment in Sixteen Acre Fellowship Cemetery, Elk Creek, VA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour preceding the service.
Military rites will be conducted at graveside by Grayson County VFW Post 7726
