David Lester Blevins, age 78, of Whitetop Virginia passed away at the Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chilhowie, VA on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.  He was born in Grayson County, Virginia August. 30, 1945, to Jonathan Frank and Candice Hart Blevins.    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his four sisters.  He served his community as a self-employed handyman.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sue Blevins of the home, two sons, Steve and Tricia Blevins of Whitetop and Roger Blevins of Konnarock, VA; sister, Faye Walls of Whitetop; two grandsons, Shane and Hailey Blevins and Trevor Blevins both of Whitetop; great granddaughter, Shaleigh Blevins of Whitetop, VA.

Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, at 2:00 at Helton Valley Baptist Church in Whitetop, VA with Rev. David Lewis officiating.
