David Dwight Graham, age 71, of Whitetop, Virginia passed away on February 1, 2023, at the Valley Rehab Center in Chilhowie, Virginia.  David was the fourth born son of Giles Warren and Blanche Sullivan Graham. He was born in Jefferson, NC in Ashe County on Feb. 4, 1951.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Justin Graham, his three brothers, Jerry Graham, Lloyd Graham, and Larry Graham.

David will be remembered for his love of his family and his love of company.  He delighted visitors with stories from his youth.  He loved spending time with his good friends, Teddy and Junior and always delighted in spending time with his family.  He was an avid NASCAR fan with Chase Elliott and Harry Gant as being favorites.  He was also a Denver Broncos fan.  He David described himself as "not cheap, but frugal."  His daughters, Jennifer and Chrissy, remembers two beach vacations each year, April and September!  The water was not always warm, but the motel rates were better-- And NEVER reservations—check the rates upon arrival! The girls also wanted to mention his love for his dog, Boomer.

He is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer and Jeff Jenkins of Bristol, Virginia and Chrissy Hopkins and Tim Plyler of Green Cove, Virginia; sister-in-law, Brenda Graham of Germanton, NC; four grandchildren, Austin Jenkins, Avery Hopkins, Berlin Graham and Iris Hopkins.  Several nieces and nephews and several cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at 3:00 PM at the Whitetop Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Walls officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 at the church. Burial will follow in the Graham Family Cemetery on Perry Grahams in Lansing, NC.
