Della Elizabeth Ozment, 79, of Galax passed away Saturday, June 12 at Waddell Nursing Home in Galax, Virginia. She was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania to Howard and Della Pennington Osborne. She was the widow of David E. Ozment. Surviving is a sister and spouse, Virginia and Gale Thornton of Independence. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 14th at 2:00 p.m. at Chestnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Independence. Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home is serving the family.
