Deloris Marie Anderson Rigney, age 68, of Independence, VA, passed away on March 25, 2025, at Johnson City Medical Center in TN. Deloris was born on August 11, 1956, to the late James Lawrence and Sylvia Rector Anderson. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brother, Terry Anderson.

She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and a steadfast friend. Deloris always had a kind word, a warm smile, and advice that was as wise as it was comforting. She saw the good in everyone, put others before herself, and could brighten even the darkest of days just by walking into a room.

She is survived by her loving husband, Charles C. Rigney, and her son, R.J. Osborne, both of the home; her daughter, Fran Sadler and Jamie Brooks, of Yadkinville, NC; her granddaughters, Courtney Sadler and MaKayla Brooks, also of Yadkinville, NC; a host of dear friends who will cherish her memory forever.

She also leaves behind her stepsons, Charles Robert Rigney of Hillsville, VA, and Larry Rigney of Fancy Gap, VA; stepdaughter, Anita Quesenberry of Hillsville, VA.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, with Rev. Lloyd Day officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Grubbs Chapel Cemetery.
