Dorothy Lee Absher Crouse, age 82, Sparta, North Carolina, died Saturday, January 12, 2018 as Margate Health and Rehabilitation Center in Jefferson, North Carolina.

Dorothy was a loving wife to her husband, Homer Crouse of 54 years.  She is now reunited with him and their three sons, Richard, Billy and Jeffery.  Dorothy loved working in her flowers and gardening.  She was a loving person to all she met.  Dorothy is now at home with her Savior.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Smith Crouse and their three sons:  Richard Dean, Billy Ray and Jeffery Allen Crouse.  Dorothy is survived by a special nephew, Michael Absher and wife, Nita of Lansing, North Carolina;  a special great niece, Amy Baker of Sparta, North Carolina Carolina; several other nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the New Salem regular Baptist Church on Pine Swamp Road in Sparta, NC at 3:00 PM.  Officiating will be Elder Raymond Crouse and Rev. Russell Sheets. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
