Dorothy Helen Cornette Warren, age 81, of Max Meadows, Virginia, formerly of Grayson County passed away on Monday, Feb. 3, 2025, at Ridge Care Assisted Living Facility in Princeton, WV.  Dorothy was born on November 14, 1943 ,in Garrison, Maryland to Olen and Ida Anderson Cornette who preceded her in death.  She will be remembered for her dedication to Fellowship Baptist Church in Wytheville, VA.  She was involved in many aspects of the church as long as her health permitted.  She loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed vacations to the beach.  She and her husband enjoyed western square dance, horseshoes, and both were avid rook players. Dorothy was a lady of great faith and while her passing has left a great void, her family rejoices knowing that the bonds and constraints of this life were lifted as she went to be with her Lord hearing "enter in thou good and faithful servant."

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Richard Warren of the home; two daughters, Sherry and David Cornett of Elk Creek and Terri Russell of Wytheville, VA; one son, Stacy and Dawn Warren of Woodlawn, VA; five grandchildren, Adam and Jessica Cornett of Wytheville, VA, Aaron and Cortney Cornett of Christiansburg, VA, Nash Russell of Wytheville, VA, Dillon Warren of Woodlawn, VA, and Silas Warren of Woodlawn, VA; four great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Emma and Hudson Cornett and Bronson Cornett; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family receive friends on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel.  There will be no formal funeral service.  Private Inurnment will follow at a later date at the Corinth Cemetery in Rugby, VA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Corinth Cemetery c/o Don Richardson 2247 Rugby Road Mouth of Wilson, VA 24363.
