Edna May Archer Pearman age 85 of Ivanhoe, Virginia passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025 at her home.

Edna was born on August 7, 1939 in Grayson County, Virginia to William Lestle and Mary Belle Taylor Archer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Letcher Pearman and siblings Patsy Bourne, George Archer; Bill Archer; Carlton "Duke" Archer; Robert Archer and Mildred Archer Hoffman and grandson Mikey Jones.

Left to cherish her memory, are her daughters and sons-in-law Janet and Mike Jones of Fries, Virginia; Peggy Anauo and friend Gene Bedwell of Fries, Virginia. Sharon and Joe Richardson of Fries, Virginia; Son Danny Pearman of Fries, Virginia. Brothers and sister-in-law Gene and Tina Archer of Galax, Virginia; Thomas Archer of Galax, VA ; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. A special brother-in-Law Leroy Bourne who looked after her faithfully.

Edna's life on Brush Creek was a testament to her strength as she enjoyed coffee, smoking cigarettes, and working puzzles. She also found joy in watching game shows. She was known for her famous coleslaw and macaroni and cheese. She lived a humble but meaningful life. She cherished her family and little church in the mountain, Cold Springs. Edna was not afraid of hard work, she worked in the Fries Cotton Mill until it closed and later EC Dodson. We will miss her, but we know she is home with Jesus.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Cold Springs Church in Fries, VA with Rev. Tony Vaughan and Rev. Marty Stallard officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.   Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
