Elder Steven "Steve" Paul Douglas Mar 26,1947- Dec 7,2024.

Steven passed away at the age of 77 in Baptist Hospital, Winston-Salem, NC, a native and resident of Crumpler, NC.

He was employed in the Electrical Industry for many years, before retiring in 2004 to spend time with his precious his wife Glenna Kay Douglas of 58 years and enjoying their hiking trips and working in their fields along side his children. He enjoyed tinkering in his barns, watching his children and grandchildren grow to be successful adults, by teaching them many of the early traditional ways of life.

He was a full time Primitive Baptist Preacher, preaching in several churches in the Ashe County area including others throughout NC, since 1968.

Steve was preceded in death his parents Paul Sabe and Irene Richardson Douglas.

He is survived by his wife, and their 2 sons and daughter; John Douglas and his wife Denise of Kingsport, TN, Edward Douglas of Crumpler NC, and Rebecca Viers and her husband Daniel of Crumpler, NC. His 3 grand children Mackenzie and husband Corey Crosson of Saint Croix Falls, WI, Trevor and wife Kaylie Douglas of Church hill TN, Logan and Hailey Douglas of Norton VA. Seven great grandchildren Jaxon, Jace, Alex, GraceLynn, Elaina, Riley, and Malakai. Two brothers Stan and wife Pam Douglas of Crumpler NC, Brian and wife Gwen Douglas of VA.

Funeral services were private.
