On March 25, 2025, Elwanda (Wanda) Roop Price went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by the love of her family.

Wanda was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her. She was a woman of quiet strength and boundless love, always putting family first. Whether she was cooking one of her famously delicious meals, enjoying bluegrass music, or simply spending time with her loved ones, Wanda created a home filled with comfort and joy.

She will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind: her brothers, Charles Dwayne Roop, David Gale Roop both of Landenberg, PA. Dale Junior Roop of Elizabethon TN, her daughters, Leisa Johnson Lemly, and son-in-law, Brandon of Jefferson, NC, and Daughter in law, Joanne Trout Johnson of Creston, NC.
Her four grandchildren, Megan Johnson Coffey(Jeff), Wesley Johnson, Robert Potter, and Melanie Potter Miller(Travis); and her six great-grandchildren, Nolan, Chace, Maddie, Riley, Rhett, and Robby. Her legacy of love and devotion will forever live on in their hearts.
She also has cherished cousins, nieces and nephews .

Wanda is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Gene; her parents, Wilson Kaney and Lessie Wilcox Roop; her brothers, Robert Dean, Dearl Wayne Roop; and her cherished son, David Charles Johnson.

A private family service will be held later this year to honor her memory.
