Emily Doreen Walker Price, age, 67 of Atkins, Virginia passed away on Thursday May 11, 2023, at the Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA. She was born on April 4, 1956, in Galax, VA to Geedy Edgar and Jean Holdaway Walker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Ray Price.

Emily was described by her children as "the perfect mother." She never had a bad word to say about anybody. She loved all children; and all children loved her in return! She was talented at the craft of crochet, loved reading, and enjoyed spending time working in flowers. She was a most devoted loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a good friend to all she met throughout her life.

Emily is survived by her daughter, April Price and Tim Stokes of Atkins, VA; her son, Kevin Price and Lacey Olinger of Atkins, VA; four brothers: Jerry and Darlene Walker of Independence, VA, Connie Ralph Walker of Germanton, NC, Timothy and Mary Walker of Sparta, NC, Chris Walker of Independence, VA; three grandchildren, Mackenzie Ray Price, Jonathan Ray Price, and Logan Pennington; the first great grandchildren is expected in November; and a very special friend, Wilma Reedy, also survives.

The family will honor the wishes of Emily by having private services.
