Emma Lee Anders, 65, of Independence, passed away June 20 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years William G. Anders; son Chris Anders of Independence, VA; step-son Anthony Baker of Alexandria, VA; sons by love Michael (& Becky) Frost, Tim (& Starr) Anderson, Dave Nichols (Dorie); sisters Barbara Hodge of Sparta, NC; Nancy (& Larry) Anders of Independence, VA; Peggy (& Allen) Church of Piney Creek, NC; Penny (& Burton) Robinson of Woodlawn, VA; sisters-in-law Marion (& Poncho) Palacio of Sparta, Juanita Shaffer of Fredricksburg, MD; brothers-in-law Jimmy Anders of Independence, Tommy (& Roxanne) Anders of Independence; several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by father and mother Steven G and Miraim A Bolt, sister Miraim Christine (Lawerance) Roberts, brother-in-law Jerry Hodge, nephew Stacy Anders

Graveside service to be held Thursday June 24 1:00pm at Independence Cemetery. Brother Jeff Johnson officiating.

Reins-Sturdivant is serving the Anders family.
