Emma Gladys Pinion Moss, age 102, of Winston-Salem, NC, formerly of Grayson County died on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at the Hinkle Hospice House of Davidson County, NC.  She was born on October 6, 1919, in Independence, Virginia to Miles Robert and Verna Ward Pinion.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Clay Moss; and her four siblings, Ruth Cothran, Joseph Pinion, Herman Pinion and Stella Byrd.

Mrs. Moss was a talented seamstress and enjoyed gardening and canning.  She delighted in providing for her family making a comfortable home for her husband, children and grandchildren.  Her family will remember her abilities as a homemaker and an extortionary cook. She was not only especially blessed with longevity but, maintained a clear memory until her passing.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Harold Coe of Winston-Salem, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Randall Clay and Vanessa Moss of Tobaccoville, NC; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson also survive.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Comers Rock Cemetery with Rev. Wilmer Shepherd officiating.
