Mrs. Erma Marie Jones, age 97, of Galax, died Sunday morning, August 4, 2019.  She was born October 23, 1921 to Andy Gwyn and Cora E. Byrd Cole in Independence, Virginia.

She is survived by two daughters:  Shirley Crigger of Galax, Virginia and Mary Joann Horton of Fries, Virginia; sister, Bertha Nunley of Galax, Virginia; 13 Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren, 35 Great-Great Grandchildren; special care giver, Charlotte Archer of Fires, Virginia also survives.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd Crotts and Walter Jones and significant other, Staley Hodge; three children, Joyce Crotts, Carol Crotts, and Raymond Crotts, her parents, and several brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening, August 5, from 6:00-9:00 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Galax, Virginia.  Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Baptist Church by Pastor, Garry Adams, Rev. Larry Cline and Bro. Chuck Edwards. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Independence, Virginia.
