Mrs. Frances Miller Boyer, age 88, of Independence died Tuesday night at the Twin County Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Mar. 2, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Brush Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Eddie Roland officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
Mrs. Boyer is survived by her husband, James Boyer of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law: Peggy and Wade Billings of Independence, Patsy and Charles Sturgill of Independence, VA, and Debra and Ricky Edwards of Independence, Virginia; one sister: Hazel Umberger of Wytheville, Virginia; one brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Sue Miller of Elk Creek; sister-in-law, Gaye Miller of Elk Creek, Virginia. Five Grandchildren: Vanessa and David Fant of Galax, Virginia, Paula and Dwight Carter of Galax, Virginia, Lynn and James Monahan of Ivanhoe, Virginia, James and Shannon Edwards of Reston, Virginia, Angie and Derrick Douglas of Crumpler, NC; and eight great-grandchildren: Tucker, Kale, Phoebe, Vivian, Thomas, Ethan, Luke, and Sabe, as well as several nieces and nephews also survive.
