Fred Johnson Loggins, age, 93, of Piney Creek, NC passed away at his home on Monday, January 2, 2023.  He was born on April 2, 1929, at Piney Creek to John and Stella Sprinkle Loggins. He was a millwright mechanic.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two spouses, Mary Jean Rash Loggins and Louise Adams Loggins.

He is survived by his son, Bobby Joe and Laurie Loggins of Newark, Delaware; brother, Joseph and Libby Loggins of Fleetwood, NC; sister, Ruby   Matthews of Providence, VA; two grandsons, Fred Loggins of Northeast, Maryland, and Bobby and Krista Loggins of Northeast, Maryland; one very special niece and caregiver, Carolyn Brown of Greenville, TN; two great grandsons, Freddie Loggins of Newark and Aiden McClure of Northeast, Maryland; great granddaughter, Stella Loggins of Northeast, Maryland. Two stepsons, Tony and Judy Adams of Sparta, NC and Huck and Susan Adams also of Sparta, NC; Nine step grandchildren, Nicole Pruitt and husband Willie, Mitch Adams and wife Gari Leigh, Matthew Adams and wife Amanda, Mandy Carter and husband Jerome, Joshua Adams and wife Brittany; step great-grandchildren, Jordan, Alex, and Chloe Pruitt, Meg and,  Jonah Adams, Emmerson, Adaleigh and Holdyn Adams, Kyleigh, Zoie, Paxton, and Tanner Miller, Benjamin, Lorelai, Amelia, Talon River, and William Adams; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening, Jan. 6, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday morning, January 7, 2023, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Spencer Roark officiating. Burial will follow in the Loggins cemetery in Piney Creek, NC.
