Glen Stacy Ward, age 54, of Independence, VA passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.  He was born in Galax, VA on June 16, 1970, to Glen P. and Shirley Sheets Ward.  He was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Sarah Ward.

Stacy loved to fish and loved being outdoors.  He was an "undiscovered" artist who natural talent was obvious in his many drawings and carvings.  He loved restoring and working on vintage bicycles.  Enjoyed many types of music especially gospel.

Stacy is survived by his mother, Shirley Ward of the home; two brothers, Thomas and Brenda Ward of Independence and Joseph Ward of the home; one uncle, Daniel and Judy Ward of Independence, VA; four aunts, Linda Hardy of Yadkinville, NC, Cathy and Frank Hendrix of King, NC, Virginia and Junior Pope of Mt. City, TN, and Callie Harris of Galax, VA; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Matthew Adams officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Private burial will follow at the Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery.
