Glenda S. Stoots, age 73, of Galax, Virginia, died on July 11, 2020 at her home.  She was born on August 23, 1946 in Piney Creek, North Carolina to Jim and Agnes Carico Bobbitt.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Stoots; four daughters and spouses, Marsha Stamper of Galax, Virginia, Twania and Claude Bobbitt of Austinville, Virginia, Mary and Justin Shaw of Galax, Virginia, Stacy Johnson and Keith Shaw of Galax, Virginia; sons, Bobby Brooks and Sharon Price of Galax, Virginia, Dakota Johnson of Fries, Virginia; devoted special grandson, Joshua Brooks,  several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Arnold and Brenda Bobbitt of Hillsville, Virginia, Leon and Debbie Bobbitt of Fries, Virginia; sisters, Wilma and Dale Blevins of Jarrettsville,  Maryland, Anna Melton of Galax, Virginia.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel in Independence, Virginia by Rev. Rodney Christman.  Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Independence, Virginia.
