Obituary

Grady Hackler Anders, the fourth born son of Clay and Ashley Miller Anders, and baby brother to Emmett, Stetson, and Riggs Anders was born prematurely during the evening hours of January 21, 2025, in the Wythe Community Hospital in Wytheville, Virginia.  Their hearts were joined by so many others filled with joy at the announcement of his coming and were so touched by his struggle to live.   In addition to his parents and brothers, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Mel and Amy Miller, paternal grandparents, Chris and Julie Anders; additional great-grandparents include Margaret Miller, Jessie Anders, and June Francis; uncles, Will Anders, Nicholas Troitino, Harlowe Johnson, and Doug and Heather Miller; and two cousins, Keegan and Annabelle also survive.

Grady was preceded in death by an infant sibling, grandparents, Amy Johnson, Barbara Anders, Joyce and Tom Troitino.

The family will come together in private to share this great loss and give thanks for the priceless hope this brief life gave.

Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home in Independence, VA is serving the Anders family.
