Rev. Harvey Joe Warren, age, 85 of Elk Creek, Virginia  died at his home on January 22, 2021.  He was born in Ruby, Virginia on Jan. 29, 1935 to Madison and Artie Riddle Warren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters, Charmie Dalton, Alpha Dowdy, Lucilla Kilby, Elaine Nuegent, Ellen Warren and Dorothy Warren; two brothers, Lewis and Cecil Warren.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra K. Warren of the home; two sons, Wesley and Marcia Warren of Independence, Virginia and Harvey Joe Jr. and Pamela Warren of Advance, North Carolina; daughter, Tammy and Scott Wilkins of Marion, Virginia; grandchildren, Zachariah and Dana Wilkins of Hillsville, Virginia, Joshua and Kaitlyn Wilkins of Fries, Virginia, Sara and Timothy Gross of Independence, Virginia; great-grandchildren, Jason A. Hines and Chase E. Gross; one brother, Sam Warren of Independence, Virginia; one sister Zera Lee Alley of Tobaccoville, NC; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be conducted on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Laurel Hill Cemetery in the Rugby community by Rev. Mike Porter and Rev. Buster Shepherd.  Burial will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery.  The family will be at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home from 12:00-1:00 prior to the funeral on Sunday.
