Hazel Louise Anderson, age 57, of Independence, Virginia passed away at the Twin County Community Hospital on Sunday, September 25, 2022.  She was born on May 5, 1965, in Sparta, NC to Edgar Smith and Lorraine Anderson.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Anderson.  She is survived by her mother, Hazel Lorraine Anderson of Independence, VA; her caregiver, Freddie Wayne Hackler of Independence, VA; a host of cousins and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bob Cheeks. Private burial will follow in the Baptist Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Baptist Union Cemetery Fund.
