Mr. Henry Mitchell McArthur Dixon, age 75, of Bristol, Virginia died at his home on Jan 23. He was born on May 5, 1942 in Bluefield WV to Randolph and Hazel Virginia Johnson Dixon.
Mr. Dixon is survived by his wife: Mary A. Dixon of Bristol, Virginia; four daughters: Carla Grier of Bristol, Virginia, Lynn Collins of Chilhowie, VA, Shelby Dixon of Bristol, TN, and Tia Dixon of Bristol, VA,;One son: Henry M. Dixon, Jr. of Bristol, TN; three sisters: Clara Holt of Roanoke,Pauline Bradley of Roanoke, Virginia and Delores Poindexter of Roanoke, Virginia; One Brother: James Dixon of Wytheville, Virginia; Nine grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Paulette Dixon.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 2:00 at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel in Independence, Virginia by Rev. Richard Johnson and Rev. Gleasanna Dixon. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The burial will follow in the St. John's Cemetery in Elk Creek, Virginia.
