Horace Edward Hopkins Jr., age 75, passed away on October 2, 2021, at his home in Independence. He was born in Wilmington, Delaware on November 1, 1945. He served in the United States Navy and retired as a custom steel fabricator.

He is survived by his wife Diane Hopkins; children Lori Welsh (Dave), Shelly Robinson (Frank Jr.), Jennifer D'Angelo (Rocco), Melissa Foster (Don), Jillian Malandruccolo (Michael Sr.), and Sonny Hopkins; sixteen grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings Betty Lou Burgess (John) and Helen Dean. Mr. Hopkins Jr. was preceded in death by his parents Horace and Mary; his siblings James Dryden (Joanne), Rose Paoletti (Earl), Bernie Allsop (Bob), Druscilla Adams (Ed); and brother-in-law Chuck Dean. Also surviving are beloved dogs Jake and Sugar.
