Jackie Anderson, age 73, of Troutdale, Virginia, passed away on January 7, 2024, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC.

Jackie is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Taylor Anderson, of the home; his son, Travis, and daughter-in-law Amanda Anderson of Elk Creek, VA. Jackie took immense pride in his role as a grandfather to Hadlee and Owen Anderson, cherishing every moment spent playing ball with Hadlee and pulling the wagon with Owen.

He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Cathy Anderson of Troutdale, VA; nephew, David, and wife Shelia Anderson of Mouth of Wilson, VA; niece, Whitney of Marion. Jackie was preceded in death by his brothers Gerald and Ricky Anderson.

Jackie dedicated many years of his life to his work at Royal Molding in Marion, VA. From 2007 to 2018, he served as a school bus driver for Grayson County Schools, ensuring the safety and well-being of the students he transported.

Jackie found joy in riding motorcycles, walking his beloved border collie, Jake, and spending time in his woodworking shop. He was also a committed member of Baptist Union Church since 1989.

Jackie's selflessness was exemplified in his role as a caregiver to his wife during her battle with Lyme disease. He stood by her side, spending countless hours at her bedside in the nursing home, offering comfort and support every day.

Funeral services to celebrate Jackie's life will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Reins~Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Andy Stevens officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
