Jackie Clifford Blevins, age 69, of the Elk Creek Community died on January 11, 2022 at the Forsyth Medical Center due to Covid-19 complications.  While he spent his working years in the many facets of the furniture construction industry, he was always eager to serve his neighbors making him a favorite resident among the Elk Creek family.  Whether he was simply "checking in" or scraping snow filled driveways, he was always community minded man.  He will be remembered as the "gentle giant" who found great joy in helping others.

Jackie was born in Cripple Creek, Virginia on July 26, 1952 to Stephen Eugene and Ruby Cedella Bledsoe Blevins.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Nola Lee Ayers of Independence, Virginia and Opal and Tommy Godsey of Independence, Virginia; several nieces and nephews and girlfriend, Panawan Brittian of Elk Creek, Virginia also survive.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Sixteen Acres Fellowship Cemetery by the Rev. Darrell Melton.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made to the Sixteen Acres Fellowship Cemetery Fund 1238 Elliott Place Independence, VA 24348.
