James Ward "Dub" Walls, age 68 of Independence, Virginia died Friday, September 27, 2019 at his home.  He was born on October 16, 1950 at Whitetop, Virginia to James and Eva D. Blevins Walls.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille H. Walls of the home; two sisters, Sue Blevins, of Whitetop, Virginia, and Lisa and Roger Barr of Konnarock, Virginia; seven brothers, Steve and Anita Walls of Lansing, North Carolina, Webb Walls of Warrensville, North Carolina, Tim and Brenda Walls of Whitetop, Virginia, Ben Walls of Whitetop, Virginia, Marty and Tina Walls of Independence, Virginia, David and Kathy Walls of Lansing, North Carolina,  Keith and Lola Walls of Lansing, North Carolina.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Helton Valley Baptist Church with interment in the Walls Cemetery in Whitetop, Virginia.  The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, September 29, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 at the Reins- Sturdivant Funeral Home in Independence, Virginia.
