Surviving, husband, Heath Cornette of Independence, VA; mother, Peggy Keen of Chilhowie, VA; father and spouse, John and Myrt Smith of Popular Camp, VA; two sons, Todd Smith and Marty Smith; one sister, Sandy Long of Newport, VA; two brothers and spouse, Tommy and Heather Smith of Patterson, VA and Jay Smith of Wythe County, VA; two half-brothers and several grandchildren also survive
